Indigo Storm Skirt (Skort)

 
Upcycled Justice denim skirt, reworked with a deep indigo storm dye pattern that moves across the fabric with natural variation.
The front features two distinct treatments: one pocket has handwoven mending while the other is distressed and backed with a soft pink patterned denim, reinforced with visible sashiko-style mending in shades of  lavender. Subtle repaired distressing adds texture without overpowering the piece.
The hem is finished with a double layer of frayed denim, with faint hints of pink peeking through, echoing the stitching details throughout.
On the back, one pocket is painted with a tonal indigo botanical print, contrasted by the original pocket on the other side—creating an intentional asymmetry.
Soft, broken-in denim with depth, movement, and layered detail throughout. No two areas of dye or stitching are exactly the same.
